2025 is an exciting year for Lightwave. The community was started by a nationally funded project in 2018. 2025 marks the end of the project and so it is the year in which our key hubs will become more financially self-sustaining. It is also the year in which the governance of the Lightwave charity will adapt for its ongoing life as part of the diocese.
The prayer pointers for January include a bit of an overview as to what to pray for for the whole year ahead

People coming to faith (See the picture of Preeti Krishna, being baptised at Emerge, Playford)
People growing in their ministry like Lightwave Rural Outreach Pioneer Ali Hobson who became employed as a mission enabler in Ipswich at the end of last year and Graham Miles who being licensed as Diocesan Rural Chaplain.

Our Lightwave Rural Chaplain, Graham Miles, as he is relicensed as the Diocesan Rural Chaplain on 15th January and the Lightwave Group which continues to support agricultural chaplaincy
The volunteer Lightwave communications team, as they take forward the work of communications in a new way
The work of discernment through an Appreciative Inquiry process being planned for March to discover how best the Lightwave Community can contribute to and flourish within the wider diocese in the years ahead
This month's video, was made last year with our friends at Hope Together It talks about prayer-walking as vital preparation for evangelism.
