What are warm spaces?

With the current cost of living crisis many people are finding it hard to keep warm this winter. That’s why we are encouraging Lightwave Groups to join with many other churches and other organisations across the county to offer a Warm Space on a regular basis. Warm Spaces are places where people can gather for free in a warm, safe, welcoming place and maybe enjoy a hot drink and some company.

This could be a couple of hours at set times where people can come and be warm and have a hot drink (dog friendly too would be wonderful, where possible).

In Suffolk a Warm Spaces initiative is being co-ordinated by the Rural Coffee Caravan. Head over to their website for more information, to register your warm room and find loads of help and guidance.

If you are a Lightwave group who is doing this, please contact us  here to let us know what you are doing and he can be in touch to share further information on how Lightwave can help. And don't forget to send Becky your photos and stories. We will put some of them on our facebook page and on the website.

You can tell guests about our Inspiring Angels activities too.  We are loving this verse at the moment in our team:

Don't neglect to show hospitality, for by doing this some have welcomed angels as guests without knowing it (Hebrews 13.2- Christian Standard Bible)
